GENERAL INFORMATION FOR KINDERGARTEN
timetable
School hours: 8:30 am-3:30 pm
Kindergarten teaching hours (mandatory): 10:00 am-1:30 pm
Our school opens at 8:30 am, and from that moment on, any child who arrives is welcomed by the educators.
For kindergarten children, class activities start at 10:00am, and they must be at school before that time. Pick-up time for those who do not stay for lunch is between 1:30pm and 2:00pm.
Lunch (optional) is at 2:00 pm, and collection time is before 3:30 pm.
lunch
Children may stay for lunch at school. Semente does not have a kitchen or catering service, so children have to bring their own food in a container. The lunch monitor is responsible for heating up and serving lunches.
This service starts at 2:00 pm, and the children must be picked up before 3:30 pm.
prices
Semente is a non-profit community project (like other types of associations, clubs, or unions) and as such, its is funded through the school fees paid by the families enrolling their children in the school.
These fees are progressive according to family income and in no case are an obstacle to studying at Semente, since we also have a system that allows people to carry out certian work in exchange for a reduction in fees.
necessary materials
- Snack: Children must bring a small snack and water for mid-morning break time. We ask that this snack be healthy, avoiding sugar and saturated fats as much as possible, and respect the environment by avoiding unnecessary plastics.
- Clothes: Each child must bring a bag with a complete change of clothes, as well as rain gear (overalls and raincoat) and boots for the playground.
- Hygiene: We also recommended children bring a toothbrush and toothpaste.
location
Semente Compostela is located in Moas de Baixo, 20, in a very accessible area with easy parking.
DISTANCES:
From Vidán roundabout: 2 min
From the intermodal station: 7 min
From San Caetano: 10 min
From Bertamiráns: 9 min
ACESS:
The main access to Moas is through Vidán, along Rúa do Souto, which, after the council’s intervention, is suitable for cars and ideal for walking or cycling. However, it is difficult to circulate in both directions, so we recommend taking it only from Vidán to Moas in order to avoid congestion in both directions during peak hours.
Another path to the school which also suitable for pedestrians or cyclists leads from the roundabout next to the factory, on the road to Noia.
Bus route: Line 8 (Os Vilares – Vidán); from 7:00am to 10:30pm (every 30 min). The school is approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk from the bus stop. The most direct access is through Rúa do Souto, by a path that leads in front of the Nave de Vidán.
